Sales Consultant

The energy retrofit boom you’ve heard so much about? It’s real, and the technology that supports it originates right here. Our customers include energy retrofit companies, professional engineering firms, energy service companies, clean power entities, public utilities and electronics distributors. They all share the same objective of reducing energy usage in commercial facilities. And our software speeds that adoption like none other.
Which brings us to you. In the midst of our explosive growth, we’re looking for sales professionals to help grow our customer base across the United States. You’ll help find and work with a unique set of energy efficiency clients who are growing their companies through the pervasive use of our cutting edge technology. You will use your prospecting and professional sales skills to bring clients into the SnapCount fold and help them excel in a booming industry. As the face of our team, you will be top-of-mind in their on-going success.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Generate your own leads as well as follow-up on leads generated by our pro-active marketing development team through both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns.
- Bring prospects through the sales cycle by understanding their operational needs and presenting the SnapCount solution in a compelling and problem-solving manner.
- Participate in client-facing marketing programs including public webinars, trade-shows, training event and sales meetings as requested
- Build sustainable relationships with customers through constant contact, feedback and interaction.
- Capture details of interactions with prospects and clients within our internal collaborative and CRM systems.
- Work with the project implementation and support teams to ensure the successful “turn-up” of clients as well as their ongoing satisfaction and success.

What will it take to join our team? A college degree and 2 years demonstrated and consistent work experience in a sales-oriented role within the energy efficiency industry (e.g. lighting/energy contractor or ESCO). Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong command of desktop and web software (e.g. MS Office, Salesforce.com, LinkedIn) is required.
